The 7th Shanghai International Library Forum will be held in the Shanghai Library on July 9-11, 2014. The theme of the forum is “Libraries in the Transition Era: New Space • New Services • New Experience”. LIS experts and colleagues from around the world will meet to have extensive discussions on the hot issues, the latest research achievements, new ideas, advanced technologies and latest developments related to the theme of the forum.

This forum has received attention and support from IFLA. Ms. Sinikka Sipilä, IFLA President 2013-2015, and Ms. Ingrid Parent, University Librarian of the University of British Columbia, IFLA President 2011-2013, will attend the conference and deliver keynote speeches. Professor Wang Zhan, President of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences will also give a keynote speech at this forum.
